A great event being hosted by MIT Libraries!
Join MIT Libraries and students from MIT DUSP and MIT Architecture for the “BIPOC Design Wikipedia Edit-a-thon” August 17 – 21. During this weeklong series of events, participants will create new pages and edit existing ones for Black, Indigenous, People of Color designers in the built environment. No experience editing wikipedia is necessary to attend and participate!
.
This event is part of the “BIPOC Design Archive Project,” a digital archive of Black, Indigenous, People of Color designers in the built environment. This summer, students across the MIT School of Architecture and Planning and MIT Libraries have joined forces to create this resource, initially focused on the U.S., that highlights those who have made—and continue to make—contributions to design in education and in practice.
